After sorting through hundreds of great entries, we had to decide who would win 3 of our great Rubberwood quoits sets! It wasn't easy but we picked out each of our favourite garden, home and lifestyle tips. If you didn't win, we want to say a big thanks for entering and we loved reading all your entries! So without further ado, p'ease see our winners below and Mr Pea Man's verdict of each!

Gardening tip winner
Congratulations to Linda who wins a Quoits set for her great tip on protecting seedlings by reusing bottles. This is her tip:

Use empty plastic bottles to protect your seedlings from slugs and also provide a warm environment. Simply cut off the bottom of the bottle and place it over the plant. On hot days remove the cap pf the bottle. As the plant gets bigger cut off the top of the bottle.
Slugs and snails unhappy

Mr Pea Man Says:Slugs and snails can be a menace in the garden and nasty slug pellets to kill them are awful! They are poison for birds, other animals or humans that might ingest them. We wouldn’t dream of using them, instead looking for an eco friendly alternative. These mini greenhouses are a wonderful idea. They do keep your plants warm and stop naughty slugs from gobbling all your seedlings too. Remember to also provide plenty of water to your plants, and as Linda says open the top every now and then to let hot air and oxygen escape, important on hot days. Thank you for the winning entry!

Household tip winner
Congratulations to Sandra who wins a Quoits set for her great tip on using vegetable oil to get paint off your skin. This is her tip:

Use vegetable oil instead of smelly yucky chemically paint thinner to remove paint from your hands and skin. It works and its kinder to the skin and the environment.
Getting rid of paint with vegetable oil

Mr Pea Man Says:We couldn’t agree more than this one- paint thinner can cause irritation, itching, skin peeling and a lot of pain too. Not to mention how bad for the environment it is! So, we think this is a great tip. Vegetable oil is made from rape flowers- the bright yellow fields you see in summer. The paint does indeed come off easily and without any nasty effects afterwards. Thanks for your winning tip, Mr Pea Man is demonstrating above!

Lifestyle tip winner
Congratulations to C Brown who wins a Quoits set for their great tip on making a tasty homemade jam! This is their tip:

Make dandelion jam in spring. Dandelions are free and abundant. One bowl of washed dandelion flowers added with one cup of sugar, juice of a lemon, a sprinkle of ginger, then make the jam in the usual way. It makes a good topping for ice cream.
Stirring dandelion jam

Mr Pea Man Says:Now we’ve heard of summer raspberry, strawberry, blackberry and gooseberry jam from your garden fruiting plants but never dandelion jam! If you can’t wait for your summer fruits or would love an alternative jam to enjoy anytime we love this idea. If you make sure to add only the petals to the jam, you won’t have a bitter taste. The flavour is slightly flowery and not at all bitter, certainly something new to try. Friends and relatives will love the idea, and so do we. Thanks for this winning entry!
